2011 Liliw Tsinelas Festival

DALLAS, Texas – When Manny Pacquiao and Joshua Clottey answer the bell for their 12-round title fight Saturday night (Sunday in Manila), the memory of a comical incident that took place less than 24 hours before would be a thing of the past.
Before a crowd of 45,000 or more at Cowboys Stadium, Pacquiao will enter the ring with a nastier image of Clottey in mind, not the smiling individual who broke out in laughter as they engaged in a staredown for the cameras.
For Clottey, who has been very vocal about his high level of respect for Pacquiao, that funny episode will have to take the backseat as well as the Ghana banger gets a stab at fame and fortune against a foe whom many ringsiders believe will ruin his lofty ambitions.

8th Liliw Gat-Tayaw Tsinelas Festival
The annual Tsinelas Festival here in Liliw, Laguna started this afternoon with a parade and program in the evening. This will be our 8th year annual celebration for one whole week. On Wednesday morning. the television program Unang Hirit of GMA 7 will air live footages of the festival. Visit our town to see and experience the festivities the whole week. Liliw Gems footwear is located at stall no.1 of Liliw Town Fair Plaza.

Charice Pempengco was here in Liliw, Laguna
Charice Pempengco, a Filipino International Singing Sensation who rose to popularity through YouTube. Charice has been singing since she was four and has been joining singing contests one after the other with the hopes of winning the prize money so they can have food to put on their table.
It wasn't until an avid fan posted her jaw-dropping performances on YouTube that suddenly this Little Girl with the Big Voice burst through the computer and into the hearts of millions of people across the globe racking up several million views online.
This discovery led to several television appearances including The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and then The Oprah Winfrey Show, stunning audiences and bringing both Ellen and Oprah to tears.
Oprah was so impressed by Charice that she called legendary music producer David Foster, who then, without hesitation, turned Charice into his newest protégé. Since then Charice has appeared alongside many of today's top stars such as Katharine McPhee, Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bublé, Josh Groban, Alicia Keys and Celine Dion.
Today she continues to WOW audiences not only with her goose bump-inducing voice, but with power and emotion rarely heard in one who is so young.

7th Liliw Tsinelas Festival
The annual Liliw Tsinelas Festival was held last week from April 27, to May 4, 2008. This was a weeklong celebration. Unang Hirit, a morning show of GMA Channel 7 feature the opening of a week long celebration. Unang Hirit was always here yearly to cover and feature our annual celebration of Tsinelas Festival.
